Dental Procedure Step-by-Step in Istanbul
Every patient’s dental journey is unique. The exact treatment schedule in Istanbul may vary depending on your medical condition, the complexity of your case, and how well your records are prepared in advance.
If we receive only photographs, we can make an initial evaluation, but adjustments are usually required after arrival. With X-rays, planning becomes easier and more reliable. If you provide a 3D CBCT scan (tomography), treatment planning is far more precise. And if you already bring a treatment plan from your local dentist, everything can be organised in detail before your arrival.
This careful preparation is the foundation of our philosophy: to not only provide excellent medical care but also make the entire process efficient, predictable, and comfortable for international patients.
The Step-by-Step Schedule
Day 1 – Arrival & Preliminary Examination
- You arrive in Istanbul and are greeted by our transfer assistant at the airport.
- After check-in at your hotel, the Suadiye Hotel, you will immediately notice the comfort and location advantages:
- The clinic is just a 5-minute walk away, making transfers unnecessary.
- The hotel lies only 100 meters from the waterfront, offering relaxing seaside walks.
- Direct access to the S-Bahn station ensures smooth travel connections across the city.
- Countless cafés, restaurants, and shopping facilities surround the hotel, creating a vibrant environment for you and your companion.
- The ferry port, only 1.5 km away, allows easy trips to the scenic Princes’ Islands.
- This unique setting ensures that your stay is not only medically safe but also enjoyable. We recommend bringing a companion, who can take advantage of the lively surroundings while you undergo treatment.
- Depending on arrival time, you will then be accompanied to the clinic for a comprehensive consultation and diagnostic imaging. The dentist discusses all details of your treatment, answers your questions, and finalises the treatment plan.
- In the evening, you return to the hotel to rest before the procedure.
Day 2 – Treatment Day
- Pick-up from your hotel and transfer to the clinic.
- Final consultation and, if necessary, updated scans or impressions.
- The scheduled treatment (implants, veneers, crowns, root canals, or surgery) is performed with the highest precision.
- Afterwards, you are transferred back to your hotel for recovery.
Day 3 – Follow-Up & Recovery
- A follow-up check at the clinic ensures the treatment outcome is stable.
- You receive aftercare instructions and direct phone contacts for support.
- If your condition is stable, you are discharged. If needed, further check-ups are arranged.
- The rest of the day is yours to enjoy freely.
Day 4 – Departure
- Depending on your flight time, you may have a final check-up at the clinic, typically about 4 hours before departure.
- Then you will be transferred to the airport, fully supported until your departure.
The “One-Visit Dentistry” Concept
At Dr. Emrah Güvenerler’s clinic, we follow the philosophy of One-Visit Dentistry. The idea is simple: with thorough preparation and digital diagnostics, complex treatments that often take weeks elsewhere can often be completed in just one visit to Istanbul.
- Maximum Preparation in Advance: When photos, X-rays, and tomography are provided, we can pre-order all necessary materials and plan every detail.
- Efficiency Without Compromise: Instead of multiple appointments, patients experience a dedicated One-Visit Day designed entirely around them.
- Tailored Comfort: From music or series during treatment to reserved cafés for lunch breaks, the One-Visit approach focuses on reducing stress and enhancing comfort.
- Precision & Trust: Dr. Güvenerler personally oversees each critical step, ensuring reliability and accuracy—never leaving key tasks solely to assistants.
This One-Visit logic not only saves time but also aligns perfectly with our mission: to combine excellence in dental surgery with seamless organisation, so that international patients feel fully cared for from arrival to departure.
Important Notes
- The outlined schedule is a general framework; individual cases may differ.
- Some complex cases (e.g., extensive implant surgery with bone grafting) may require staged treatments.
- The more diagnostics you provide before travelling, the smoother and faster the entire process will be.
