Travel & Treatment Protection
We are working to offer international patients a clearly structured travel and treatment protection package from Türkiye (travel health + complications cover). The legal basis and responsibilities are defined (Ministry of Health/USHAŞ), yet the practical framework is still being built—among other reasons because insurance terms for elective procedures vary by provider. A positive development: the state supports policies purchased in Türkiye from local insurers (defined subsidy rates and limits), which makes the model more viable. As soon as the framework is consistent, we will activate this protection as a regular option.
Note: We continuously verify compliance with industry rules (e.g., TÜRSAB licence for intermediaries) and the Ministry’s listing of authorised facilities.
Our contribution: The initiative to integrate a standardised travel and complications protection for foreign patients into treatment workflows on a regular basis was, among others, put forward by our Managing Director Gökhan Arslan in sector discussions—we are actively pushing this forward.
